Sean-I have no idea how hard they are to find in Ireland, but aluminum dutch ovens are available. There are also a few other ways to bake using coals. Check some outdoor books (“Roughing It Easy is a good one) for ideas. Just being out in the woods doesn’t mean the quality of your meals has to be compromised. :)

nice vid mate, my mates and me do a lot of camping in Northern Ireland. We were thinking of getting a dutch oven adn tripod etc, but just worried the extra weight would be a killer, as we hike up a very steep mountain and the packs weight enough as it is lol. But thanks for the vid as I said was pretty sweet.

Very informative! Thank you! For camping, it’s nice to be able to box up all your fancy camp kitchen supplies, and set up camp. But I’ve always thought about what would be the bare minimum that I would need to carry along, for survival.

(I cannot wait to the kids are on there own) anyway please make more videos and maybe some dutch oven/cast iron cooking for one or two.
